Born in 1955. After graduating from Tama Art University, he studied abroad at the Art Center College of Design in the United States. After returning to Japan, he returned to the United States after working for a foreign-affiliated advertising agency J.W. Thompson as an art director. He studied fine arts at the Atlanta College of Art, and after graduating he continues to this day as a golf artist and sports illustrator.

He has created portraits of many professional golfers such as Pain Stuart, Nick Price and Shigeki Maruyama, as well as paintings of famous golf courses. He is widely active in books, magazines and tournament posters. He has a high international reputation, including designing USPGA tour products and being the only Japanese guest artist to be selected by the US Golf Art Association.
