Joan Miro was born in Barcelona in 1893 in the Catalan region of Spain. 

 

Until the end of his life at the age of 90 in 1983, Miro's work, dedicated to the perpetual revolution of the art, is deeply rooted in the soil of Catalonia, yet its universality is astonishing for all.
